Civic responsibility doesn’t end after casting a ballot on Election Day. Here at CFIE, we believe an engaged and informed citizenry is paramount to maintaining a healthy constitutional republic. Casting a vote is the first step, staying up to date with what’s happening in Topeka is the necessary second step to ensure our voices are heard every day of the year.

There are many ways to get your state political information; however, it is often difficult to know what to trust. CFIE brings you the verbatim answers Reno County legislators give to our questions about what’s happening in the halls of the Capitol, allowing citizens to read their legislators’ own words regarding state issues all in one convenient location. 

• Every legislator serving for Reno County is sent a link to an online survey which contains eight questions
• Legislators can answer as much or as little of the survey as they desire with answers appearing exactly as they are received
• Failure to respond to the survey and/or leaving any questions blank results in “did not respond” being placed beside the legislator’s name or questions.
